About us

Barking & Dagenham Schools’ Football Association organises tournaments, festivals and cups for primary school children every year, enabling thousands of boys and girls to enjoy the experience of competitive football whilst representing their school with pride.

We also run U11s boys’ and girls’ district teams who play in matches across the country. Many famous footballers have played for the borough: Sir Alf Ramsey, Terry Venables, Bobby Moore, Jimmy Greaves, Sir Trevor Brooking, Tony Adams, John Terry and Benik Afobe to name but a few.

Olivia Smith became the first former girls’ district player to gain international recognition when she was recently selected for the English SFA U15s squad, England U17s and U19s.

Our association relies on volunteers who give up their time to provide opportunities for young people to enjoy an experience much different from other forms of junior football and memories that can last for years. We are a self-funding organisation, relying on donations, grants and sponsorship for our income.

We need your help so we can continue and even expand our service! We need to pay for playing kit, equipment, pitches, changing rooms, referees, transport, refreshments, medals, trophies and the ongoing costs of providing this valuable service to the community.

Thank you for your support and good luck! Remember that all of your contributions will directly support young people from your borough.

Yours sincerely

Mr Chris Wilding

(BDSFA Secretary)
